Chief Executive & Managing Director

Andrew is the Chief Executive of the Impactful Governance team (since 2017) and serves as Chair of Trustees for the Impactful Lives LGBTQ+ Charity. With extensive leadership experience in the voluntary sector, he has held previous roles as Chair of Trustees and Chief Executive within learning disability charities, as well as Chair of a children and families charity.

He has also been an NHS Trust Governor and a school governor, actively participating in the Association of Chairs and the Society for Education and Training.

In addition to his governance work, Andrew enriches the higher education landscape as a guest and visiting lecturer. He holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTLS) and NPQICL. His strong track record includes supporting organizations through crisis, growth, and change in fast-moving environments, making him a valuable asset to our staff bios.

Finance & Customer Service Director

Alex ensures that clients, staff, and volunteers have the best possible experience when engaging with the Impactful Governance team. AAT qualified in Accountancy and trained in Public Relations, Alex is the first point of contact for day-to-day support and inquiries.

With over 20 years of experience in customer service, Alex provides pastoral care to both the team and service users, including those from our LGBTQ+ support team. They are also responsible for monitoring and evaluation, venues, health and safety, and risk assessments, as highlighted in our staff bios.

Non-Executive Director

Veronica is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an Academic Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. As a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management at the University of Suffolk, she also serves as a qualified trainer, assessor, and IQA across ILM, CMI, C&G, NVQ, and BTEC programmes, in addition to being an accredited coach and mentor.

Veronica collaborates with SMEs and not-for-profit organisations, leading impactful governance teams to enhance business strategy, organisational structure, and leadership development. She also supports LGBTQ+ support teams and individuals in their quest for high organisational performance, ensuring a robust and effective working environment.

Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)

Anita is a seasoned learning and development professional and Internal Quality Assurance specialist, serving as a crucial member of the Impactful Governance team. With qualifications in education, management and leadership, customer service, equality and diversity, assessment, training and development, and leading internal quality assurance processes, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her role.

For many years, Anita has contributed to Impactful Governance as its Internal Quality Assurer across various accredited courses, including Job Search and Employment Potential, Environmental Awareness, and Mentor Skills. In this capacity, she ensures that assessment decisions are fair, consistent, and well-documented, while also supporting assessors in upholding high standards of delivery and regulatory compliance. Her extensive experience enhances the credibility and rigor of the Impactful Governance team, demonstrating a strong commitment to continuous improvement across its accredited learning programs.

Throughout her career, Anita has designed, delivered, assessed, and quality-assured a variety of vocational qualifications and apprenticeship programs. Her collaborations span colleges, training providers, and public-sector organizations, invariably providing support to learners, assessors, and senior management teams. Her expertise includes leading assessment teams, conducting IQA sampling, chairing standardization meetings, monitoring learner progress, and ensuring that accredited programs meet necessary quality standards. Anita’s dedication aligns with the values of the LGBTQ+ support team, fostering an inclusive environment for all learners and staff members.

Outreach Worker & Activity Lead - Unpaid LGBTQ+ Carers

Christine is an experienced Occupational Therapist, healthcare chaplain, and community support professional who is part of the Impactful Governance team. With an extensive career across NHS physical health, mental health, learning disability, dementia, and community services, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the LGBTQ+ support team. Christine holds a degree in Occupational Therapy, a postgraduate qualification in Healthcare Chaplaincy, and additional training in safeguarding, carers’ needs, equality and diversity, mental health, suicide prevention, and bereavement support.

With considerable experience in working one-to-one with individuals, facilitating groups, and supporting people from diverse and underrepresented communities, Christine genuinely understands the emotional strain, frustration, and practical difficulties that carers can face. This includes the challenge of navigating services and advocating for appropriate care.

She creates welcoming, inclusive, and confidential spaces where unpaid carers can feel safe, connect with others, and take valuable time away from their current stresses, responsibilities, or worries. Through thoughtfully planned social, creative, and wellbeing activities, Christine helps participants to rest, recharge, and reduce isolation. Her patient and empathetic approach allows people to feel at ease, while her professional boundaries and calm manner ensure that activities are delivered safely and responsibly. Christine’s unique combination of clinical experience, lived understanding of caring responsibilities, and her commitment to inclusion within the Impactful Governance team makes her a valued member of the staff bios.
