We believe that great work starts with great people, and we’re proud to introduce the individuals who make it all happen. There have been specialists joining over the years and we continue to maintain contact, ready for the next exciting projects together.

Our team brings together a diverse mix of experience, creativity, and expertise. From leadership to specialists, each member plays a vital role in shaping our vision and ensuring the highest standards in everything we offer.

Chief Executive & Managing Director


Andrew is Chief Executive of Impactful Governance (since 2017) and Chair of Trustees for Impactful Lives LGBTQ+ Charity. He has extensive leadership experience across the voluntary sector, including previous roles as Chair of Trustees and Chief Executive within learning disability charities, and Chair of a children and families charity.

He has also served as an NHS Trust Governor and school governor, and is an active member of the Association of Chairs and the Society for Education and Training.

Alongside his governance work, Andrew contributes to higher education as a guest and visiting lecturer, and holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTLS) and NPQICL. He has a strong track record of supporting organisations through crisis, growth, and change in fast-moving environments.

 Finance & Customer Service Director


Alex ensures that clients, staff, and volunteers have the best possible experience when engaging with Impactful Governance. AAT qualified in Accountancy and Public Relations trained, Alex is the first point of contact for day-to-day support and enquiries.

With over 20 years’ experience in customer service, Alex provides pastoral care to both the team and service users. They are also responsible for monitoring and evaluation, venues, health and safety, and risk assessments.

 Non-Executive Director 

 

Veronica is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an Academic Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management at the University of Suffolk, as well as a qualified trainer, assessor, and IQA across ILM, CMI, C&G, NVQ, and BTEC programmes, and an accredited coach and mentor.

She works with SMEs and not-for-profit organisations to strengthen governance, business strategy, organisational structure, and leadership development, while also supporting individuals to achieve high organisational performance.

 Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) 


Anita is an experienced learning and development professional, assessor and Internal Quality Assurance specialist. She holds qualifications in education, management and leadership, customer service, equality and diversity, assessment, training and development, and leading internal quality assurance processes.

Anita has worked with Impactful Governance for many years as its Internal Quality Assurer across several accredited courses, including Job Search and Employment Potential, Environmental Awareness, and Mentor Skills. In this role, she helps ensure that assessment decisions are fair, consistent and properly evidenced, while supporting assessors to maintain high standards of delivery and regulatory compliance. Her extensive experience brings credibility, rigour and a strong commitment to continuous improvement across Impactful Governance’s accredited learning programmes.

Throughout her career, Anita has designed, delivered, assessed and quality-assured a wide range of vocational qualifications and apprenticeship programmes. She has worked with colleges, training providers and public-sector organisations, supporting learners, assessors and senior management teams. Her experience includes leading assessment teams, conducting IQA sampling, chairing standardisation meetings, monitoring learner progress and ensuring that accredited programmes meet required quality standards.

Outreach Worker & Activity Lead - Unpaid LGBTQ+ Carers

 

Christine is an experienced Occupational Therapist, healthcare chaplain and community support professional with an extensive career across NHS physical health, mental health, learning disability, dementia and community services. She holds a degree in Occupational Therapy, a postgraduate qualification in Healthcare Chaplaincy and additional training in safeguarding, carers’ needs, equality and diversity, mental health, suicide prevention and bereavement support.

Christine has considerable experience of working one-to-one with individuals, facilitating groups and supporting people from diverse and underrepresented communities.

 She has a genuine understanding of the emotional strain, frustration and practical difficulties carers can experience, including the challenge of navigating services and advocating for appropriate care.

She creates welcoming, inclusive and confidential spaces in which unpaid carers can feel safe, meet others and take valuable time away from their current stresses, responsibilities or worries.

Through thoughtfully planned social, creative and wellbeing activities, Christine helps participants to rest, recharge and reduce isolation. Her patient and empathetic approach enables people to feel at ease, while her professional boundaries and calm manner ensure that activities are delivered safely and responsibly. Christine’s combination of clinical experience, lived understanding of caring responsibilities and commitment to inclusion makes her a valued member of the Impactful Governance team.
